WHAT IF WE WERE A COMMUNITY KNOWN FOR CARING FOR OUR MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN?

In the Central Valley over 5,900 kids are currently experiencing foster care, and many of them have been impacted by trauma. Although we do not know all of these children to be orphaned in the modern sense, the Hebrew term “orphan” as it was used to describe a lonely and vulnerable child in Biblical text, still stands today. We have a vision that the Central Valley will become a community known to prioritize and advocate for our most vulnerable youth and the adults who care for them.

BRIDGING THE GAPS

City Without Orphans is a non-profit dedicated to connecting the foster and adoptive community with resources in our local cities. We call upon local businesses and churches to help us provide education, trauma-informed support, and tangible resources for youth and their caregivers.

EQUIPPING OUR COMMUNITIES

As foster and adoptive families have their own distinct requirements, we prioritize linking them with essential material resources and also offering trauma-informed education for parents and professionals to prepare them for this journey. Our aim is to serve as agents of healing and optimism for parents, professionals, and children.

SUPPORTING CAREGIVERS IN THIER JOURNEY

We offer caregivers a variety of post-placement support options including respite-care nights, retreats for foster/adoptive moms, therapeutic groups, and more. Our social-emotional support groups help caregivers to find rest and strength in their parenting journey. Both on-going and annual events provide much needed refreshment for caregivers.
